Over the years, I’ve been showing up for you as a source of inspiration…. now is when that changes. My new mission is to teach you how to build a life you love by establishing the right routines, discipline and mindset in your everyday life. Are you ready to start this new chapter together?
Fruition; attainment of anything desired; realization; accomplishment.
Fruition was my word of 2017. At the beginning of the year, I was determined that the next twelve months would be filled with defining moments for me. It would be the year that all of the hard work, time and effort that I’ve been putting in would come to life.
When I think of home, I think of peace. For me, creating a space that feels like home is essential, especially when you are living on your own. Having always valued aesthetic, I was ecstatic when I found my new apartment that I’ve settled into in Jávea. I'm excited to give you a peek inside and show you a little of what my home is like.
In the past 5 weeks, I’ve moved to a new city, moved into a new apartment, dove into a new job with an amazing team, traveled to speak twice at an international conference, went back to Murcia for a weekend, traveled another time… but to Madrid for the LMDES event… and the list goes on. All of this in 5 weeks, while also trying to find time to settle in, explore the area, keep a business running and making time for me. Sounds like a lot right? Well, it was.
When I was introduced to the 7in7 conference in Barcelona, I was intrigued to see what it was all about. You see, part of the focus is to shine a light on the voices and stories in the “digital nomad” world that don’t have a platform. It meant diversity and community. So, after speaking to Kit (one of the organizers) about how she wanted me to participate it was a definite yes.
I’ve been living in Spain for the past three years and when I made the move, I knew I wanted to be here long term. I didn’t know how things would pan out but I’ve been beyond blessed during my time so far. But what I’m about to share, I could have never imagined when I touched down in my new home country.
We need to live life more intentionally. Sometimes, life gives us a wake-up call to show us what we need to be changing and why. For me, I recently learned why I need to slow down, do one thing at a time and start being even more intentional with my actions. Keep reading to see how I turned two disasters into valuable lessons in being present.
